Super cute and eco-friendly dog bed duvet covers

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

I was reading some other person’s blog this weekend (can’t for the life of me remember which!) and they were talking about this cool company called Molly Mutt. Now besides having a cute name, I was really impressed with their idea: take a dog duvet cover and a “stuff sack” and stuff it with old clothes, sheets, etc to make a brand new dog bed. You can also use an older dog bed and recover it with one of their duvet covers. Not only are you saving $$$, but you are also helping the environment by recycling. How cool is that? They range in price from $20-40 – way cheaper than buying a brand new fashionable dog bed.

Plus, with 2 inside doggies, a baby AND a husband, I do a LOT of laundry. I love that I could just take the duvet cover off the bed and toss it into the wash. That just makes my life a lot simpler AND cleaner.

Not only does those duvets covers help save $, landfills, and time, but they are also really cute! My favorite patterns are the “Perfect Afternoon” and “Your Hand in Mine”.

I haven’t purchased one yet, but I will be sure to update everyone as soon as I do. Do these cute dog bed duvet covers sound cool to you, too? Check them out at www.mollymutt.com!
